Pet of the week: Arès

EUGENE, Oregon – Ares is a cheerful German Shepherd who seeks an active family to take him on daily walks and include him in many adventures.

This handsome boy is about 6 years old and full of energy. He loves to play with toys and go get a ball. He masters basic obedience commands and behaves well when walking on a leash. He will thrive in a home where he will be the only pet when he settles into his new home. He would do better in a house with teenagers and older family members because of his sensitivity and enthusiasm for toys.

“Ares is so attentive and gentle, walks well on a leash and sits up well,” said one volunteer.

Ares weighs around 70 pounds and arrived at the shelter as a stray a month ago. He is part of the Subaru Loves Pets Month and will be heading to his new home with a New Parent Kit gift bag. Her adoption fee is $ 200, which will help pay for accommodation costs such as sterilization, vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and Moreover.

Ares was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI presents a homeless pet in the newspaper from noon to 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.
