The Ocean City Boardwalk will be the scene of two major events this weekend: The Porsche Boardwalk Reunion on Saturday and the HERO Walk on Sunday.
More than 350 Porsches of all models from 1954 to 2021 will be on display on the Boardwalk between Fifth Street and 14th Street from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, as part of the Porsche Boardwalk meeting.
The Ocean City Music Pier will host various free technical sessions on topics related to Porsche. For more information, visit www.boardwalkreunion.org.
Meanwhile, the John R. Elliott HERO Walk and 1-Mile Walk Fun Run will take place on Sunday, October 17.
The HERO Fun Run will begin at 10:00 am HERO Ceremonies will be at 10:30 am
The HERO Walk begins at 11:00 a.m. The John R. Elliott HERO campaign, named after a Navy ensign killed by a drunk driver in 2000, raises awareness of the importance of using sober designated drivers.

MUSICAL CELEBRATES WOMEN ARTISTS OF THE 1960s
Three performances of “Beehive – The ’60s Musical” will take place from October 15th to 17th.
The show is a stunning musical tribute to the rock women who made the music of the era so special – from Lesley Gore to Janis Joplin, from the Shirelles to the Supremes, from Aretha Franklin to Tina Turner.

WALK TO WELCOME DOG DAY IN OCT. 23
The dogs will have their day at a new event on the boardwalk on Saturday October 23.
Dog Day and the Humane Society of Ocean City’s Howl-O-Ween Parade will invite dogs and their owners to have a fun day out on the boardwalk, where pets are prohibited the rest of the year.
Dogs on a leash will be permitted on the boardwalk from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on October 23. Activities will include specific dog vendors at the Music Pier, photo stations and the Humane Society’s announcement of Ocean City’s âPet of the Yearâ.
The event will allow owners to purchase dog treats, order custom engraved ID tags, take photos with Santa Claus and more.
People are encouraged to dress themselves and their dogs in Halloween costumes for the Howl-O-Ween Parade at 3 p.m.
Registration is open at www.ocnj.us/dogday. All proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society of Ocean City. Registration day will begin at 2 p.m. at the Ocean City Civic Center on Sixth Street and Boardwalk.
The parade route will run from Sixth Street to 12th Street on the promenade. The awards will be presented in various categories, with an awards ceremony at the 11th Street pavilion following the parade.
OCEAN CITY TO SPONSOR THE HALLOWEEN HOUSE DECORATION CONTEST
Registration is open for the second annual Halloween Home Decorating Contest in Ocean City. The contest encourages everyone to get into the holiday spirit in a safe and fun way.
Judges will award prizes for homes in each of the city’s four neighborhoods and for businesses. The registration deadline is Friday, October 22 at 4 p.m.
A list of participants will be displayed so that everyone can see the decorated houses.
